Yogi Vijay Rayal was born on Nov 22nd 1977 in the known village of Dhundar Gaun, situated at the confluence of the Ganga and Hevel Rivers near Phoolchatti Ashram, Pauri district. He was born into a Brahmin family.
According to family traditions at the early age of 8 years Vijay was taught and initiated into Vedic Mantra and Tantric yoga from his Grandfather, who was his first Guru.

In 1999 aged 22yrs he graduated in commerce from the Garwal University of Srinagar. Throughout this time Vijay continually practiced hatha and tantric yoga, inspired by his Guru, and in 2000 travelled to many yoga schools in India learning more.
To continue and further develop a scientific/therapeutic understanding of yoga, in 2002 Vijay was accepted to study Yoga Education at G.S College of Yoga and Cultural Synthesis, Kavalyadhama Lonavala, Pune. He graduated with a first class diploma.
In 2003 he received his Doctorate in Yoga and Naturopathy from Gorakhpur School of Naturopathy and therefore was initiated by Baba Bharu Nath of Himachel Pradesh in the higher practice of Yoga and Tantra.

From here Vijay returned to Rishikesh, Pauri district where he felt inspired by his Grandfather, Guru Ji to continue, preserve and develop the age old practices and uphold the ancient tradition of Garwhal and the esoteric practices of Tantra-Mantra.
He began to teach Yoga, Reiki healing, and practice Naturopathy, Reiki & Yoga Therapy treatments, sharing general knowledge with people/travellers from all around the world in Sant Sewa Ashram, Laxman Jhula.

Still today Yogi Vijay continues his practices in Rishikesh, thus giving him the opportunity to set up a society, a life-long idea/project, which he believes in strongly.
